Authentic Mexican food primarily from Mexico City and surrounding states. Our specials are Barbacoa, Chamorros en Carnitas, Mole Poblano, Quesadillas y Gorditas (Huitlacoche, Chicharron Prensado, Flor de Calabaza, Picadillo, Moronga, Chicharron Verde/Rojo and more), Pambazos, Sopes, and more.

History

Established in 2015.
In 2001 La Gran Chiquita Taqueria in the Fruitvale district of Oakland, CA was opened with the vision to bring authentic Mexican food from Mexico City to the bay area. Owners Arturo and Gloria experienced great success due to the positive recognition for authenticity from the Mexican community around the Bay Area. Now this second location is geared to bring the same attention to service and passion for traditional Mexican dishes to Richmond, CA.

    Best Mexican food in Richmond hands down. Authentic 100% ppl there are nice and welcoming. The only thing that was a turn off for me was the horrible karaoke in the background. It was too loud. But other than that very good place to eat Mexican food.

    Had breakfast w my hubby today, it was first time for both of us. It is very spacious locale! Found out they opened six months ago and original spot is in Oakland.

    Came in for a breakfast burrito, and even though it's not on the menu, they made me an excellent burrito with eggs, bacon and chorizo.
